Devices simulated with MACH2Win include:

• plasma flow switches
• implosions of plasma and solid/liquid metal
• inverse Z-pinches
• compact toroid formation, compression, and acceleration
• initiation of rippled thin foils
• plasma switches with embedded poloidal magnetic field
• explosive magnetic generators
• magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.

Plasma conditions in these devices have included densities ranging over 10 orders of magnitude from ions per cubic centimeter to a few times solid density and temperatures from room temperature to a few keV. Excellent comparison with experimental results has been the hallmark of these simulations.
