MACH2Win

MACH2Win is a complete Windows NT/95/98 version of AFRL's MACH2 with all of its features and many more. MACH2Win comes on a CD-ROM with a standard Windows installation program that installs MACH2Win and its tools in just a few minutes.

Mach2Win has a graphical user interface that:

Displays simulation graphics on screen while MACH2Win runs, allowing the user to check the progress of his simulation at a glance.

Allows the user to add or change screen plots during a run.

Allows the user to check and change the values of almost all control parameters, including boundary conditions and values before and during a run.

Allows the user to examine the dependent variable array values such as velocity, density, magnetic field, and energy after each time-split physical process as an aid to understanding.

Allows the user to pause and resume the simulation and to control the MACH2Win's priority.

Includes a Windows Help online user guide to the user interface.

MACH2Win comes with the MACH2Tools, a suite of tools to make Windows the environment of choice for a user who is not a developer. These tools include:

MACH2Help - an online HTML User's Guide to developing simulations with MACH2Win.

HistToExcel - converts MACH2Win history files to tab-separated columnar data files that can be read by most spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Excel.

M2Diff - numerical file comparison tool that can be used to compare MACH2Win simulation diagnostic files.

MACH2Win also comes with PSCANWin, NumerEx's enhanced Windows version of Los Alamos's Pscan, a CGS metafile viewer.
